There’s something undeniably special about a wedding. We were so excited to be a small part of this Austin wedding. Where Southern charm meets laid-back sophistication, and every detail feels both personal and full of heart. Today, we’re thrilled to feature one of our stunning ALLY Brides and her unforgettable celebration. Join us as we share her story, her style inspiration, and a closer look at the moments that made her Austin wedding truly one of a kind.
ALLY Shoes: Tell us about yourself:
Elizabeth: I'm a Midwest-based communications professional with a background in wedding planning and a renewed passion for public relations. After several wonderful years designing and executing weddings, I recently pivoted back into the PR world, where my heart has always lived in storytelling, relationship-building and creating meaningful brand visibility. I’m newly married, and am obsessed with the little details that make big moments memorable.
ALLY Shoes: You got married in Austin! Did you select that location for a reason?
Elizabeth: Yes! Austin holds a special place in our hearts because it’s where we first met. We wanted our wedding to feel deeply personal, and returning to the city where our story began made everything feel full circle. It was the perfect blend of meaningful and fun.
ALLY Shoes: How did you meet your husband?
Elizabeth: We met in Austin, TX, and started our relationship long-distance not long after. He was in Philadelphia and I was in St. Louis, so we did the long-distance thing for 4.5 years. There were lots of flights, FaceTimes and airport goodbyes before he moved to the Midwest. This April, we got married in the city where it all started.
ALLY Shoes: What’s one piece of advice you’d give a future bride?
Elizabeth: Let go of perfection and lean into presence. The day will go by so fast, and the most meaningful moments often aren’t the ones you planned - they’re the ones that just happen. Trust your team, take it all in and don’t be afraid to feel all the emotions.
ALLY Shoes: Team DJ or Team Band?
Elizabeth: This is a tough one, because there are some wildly talented wedding bands across the country that I have been so blessed to work with! However, we're team DJ! We love the freedom of blending different genres and eras, while keeping a high-energy, packed dance floor.
ALLY Shoes: What's your favorite part of the wedding?
Elizabeth: That it was a true reflection of us. We made choices that felt genuine - not just because they were “the norm,” but because they aligned with who we are and what matters to us. We had a brunch wedding, which gave us the chance to really connect with our guests and soak in every moment. It felt personal, joyful, and grounded in love and that made all the difference.
